Joomla SmugMug Component Integration
« on: December 06, 2009, 11:26:45 PM »
Here are some notes that I am compiling to determine whether it is feasible to integrate client Joomla blogging websites with one or more SmugMug photography accounts. This would ultimately serve as a replacement for other integrations from Gallery2 that are not as portable and highly difficult to manage when the databases must deal with tens of thousands of photos. These photo galleries are used primarily to support ecommerce shopping cart websites within the powersports, automotive and off-road industries and work to secure entertainment value, another source of income for event coverage and greater target market traffic via SEO and inbound links. There are currently plans to integrate the operation with other operations, such as Trackside Photo, so as to garner greater reach of their images and provide greater value to the ecommerce shopping cart, but this service could be extended to other companies as well. More to come on future blog post.
