We hunted down pools and craved culverts with slick transitions. Our home base was the famed Azusa Ramps, located just shy of the 210 freeway and Certified Market off of Vernon Avenue. It was vert and six footers with spines and an assortment of other features made up of the ramps we called home. Backyard barbeques were the norm. Thanks to all my old friends who made it happen. Ray Young, Chris Sanchez, Shell Whitingham, George Pullido, Todd, John, Jeff Greenwood, Javier Martinez, Gabriel Solorzano, Jeff Epley and the rest. It was a skate haven.
Speaking of Greenwood. Rumor is his Concrete Disciples underground skateboarding website has an overhaul in the works. It seems he's going Joomla. Got open source CMS?Get your fix of old school skate scene at Concrete D. The site shoots it straight and is banned by the more astute of the scene and values old friends of ours like Eric Nash, Lance Mountain, Steve Saiz (Powell Peralta) and Ray Barbee. Something tells me Lance is once again moving forward onto the pro scene again.
And now onto the point of this post. Shred Or Die has got a new launch on the Ning network. Tony Hawk hooks it up with a video posted below.
